Last year I had 2 courses regarding Machine Learning as part of my Master studies. One thing that was not answered was: Does the machine learn something during the learning phase? Actually it is just working on some preprogrammed pattern (e.g. if-else for sorting spam/non-spam mails). It can’t learn to sort spam-links out of nothing. That’s my opinion so far. However, I’d like to change it
